This fall, it won't just be the kids heading back to the classroom; moms will be
joining them as well. President Obama has recently made it a goal to help
mothers get back to school, and thanks to new scholarships designated
specifically for working moms, single moms, and any other mothers who wish to
improve their lives, there has never been a better time for mothers to return to
school.
President Obama has delegated scholarships exclusively available
to mothers who wish to go back to college, and the Federal Pell Grant has just
been increased in order to give these mothers money specifically for this
purpose.
According to the details and specifics of this grant, this
money can be used at any one of the over 5000 educational institutions in the
United States. However, there are certain requirements that are necessary to
meet. Some of the considerations for eligibility include: the expected family
contribution on your FAFSA (free application for Federal student aid), the total
amount of money it will cost to attend the college of your choice, whether or
not you will be a full-time or part-time student, and whether or not you will
attend a full year of college.
Due to the recession and the financial
crisis, many mothers have been considering a change in career via furthering
their own educational pursuits in order to help make ends meet. If you are a
mother and have trouble making ends meet, or are simply on a low income, this
may be an appropriate grant for you. If you or someone you know may be eligible
for this specific grant, the money is available for the taking. Just don't
forget to bring an apple for the teacher.
