Well not everything, but most of it anyway

Well not everything, but most of it anyway. As you all know (or you should know), OEM Alloy wheels are best for your car because it鈥檚 lighter, better, et cetera, et cetera. But as with everything, there are advantages, disadvantages, and things that are just simply neutral.

As you probably know (or didn鈥檛 know), Factory Original Aluminum Wheels need to be well taken care of because if not, some real bad stuff can happen. Oh yeah, it can be pretty damaging to your car. For one, if you don鈥檛 clean your alloy wheels enough, they can eventually develop rust and can lead to your tires losing air, which means you鈥檒l get a flat, so hopefully that doesn鈥檛 happen to you when you鈥檙e driving on the freeway. Even if they don鈥檛 give you that flat that you鈥檙e desperately hoping you don鈥檛 get, it鈥檚 complicated and pretty expensive to repair your bent or damaged OEM Aluminum Wheel. It may be easier for you to just buy a used one that is refurbished and looks like new (OriginalWheels.com). I bet you know that since Factory Original Aluminum Rims are more expensive to make than Steel Wheels, they are considered to be an accessory, or an extra add-on if you don鈥檛 have a luxury wheel. When it comes to Jaguar XK8 Rims , they are actually included in the price when you purchase your car. If you notice on basic Toyota models, they have a wheel cover that simulates Original Aluminum Wheels. Bummer, huh? If you do buy a new car with fancy Aluminum Wheels, you don鈥檛 need to worry that they鈥檙e going to steal them! The dealership should offer something called wheel locks that secure the lug nuts from being removed. Of course you get a key to this lock, but you鈥檒l be at a peaceful state of mind.

So with everything having a downside, there鈥檚 always a positive part to look at. With the Alloy Wheels, your car performs to it鈥檚 full potential and they disperse of heat so your tires don鈥檛 鈥渂urn out鈥?too quickly after purchasing the car. They come in many finishes like Chrome, Polished, Painted any color you want, or simply Machined / Brushed Aluminum. Bottom line, they make your car look nicer; hence, makes you more confident when you drive that phenomenal car.

All Factory Original Aluminum Wheels are not just made to fit the car, they are actually researched by each manufacturer to determine if they can make it bigger and better than the previous one. They try to make them as light and fuel efficient as they can be. Unlike OEM Steel Wheels, Original Alloy Rims are more uniform and tend to have a more consistent fit with your tire. As you see on the road, there is more than just one type of Aluminum Wheel; there鈥檚 some for motorcycles, trucks, RV鈥檚, and more commonly: your average car. Not all Aluminum Wheels are the same. If you鈥檙e a person who likes going to the mountains and being all adventurous while the rest of us are here being all serious, you might want to consider purchasing Alloy Rims since they boost airflow within the wheel. I personally have Alloy wheels and have not had any problems whatsoever. See, with wheel covers, if you keep running into pot holes, they鈥檙e going to keep coming off. If you simply buy Factory Alloy Wheels, you shouldn鈥檛 have that problem at all! How convenient, right?

As you can kind of figure out, Alloy Rims are a big responsibility for your car; but if you鈥檙e up for it, then go for it.
